Hey friends,
Today, I wanted to share something a bit personal and maybe a little quirky about myself. As you may already know, I absolutely love what I do. But here's the thing— I can't seem to switch off, even when I'm on holiday. Yup, you heard that right! While most people are busy snapping pictures of sunsets and sipping cocktails by the pool, I find myself wandering into every zero waste store I can find.
You might think, "Wow, can't you just relax?" But for me, visiting these stores is so much fun! It's my passion and my hobby rolled into one. Plus, it’s the perfect excuse to discover amazing products and gather fresh ideas that I can bring back to our community. The excitement of walking into a new store, seeing their unique displays, and chatting with fellow enthusiasts never gets old. It's like a treasure hunt where every find is a gem that could spark the next great idea for my own shop.
Right now, I’m visiting Lyon, my home city, which has seen an explosion of new wholefoods and organic stores in recent years. There are so many that I can’t visit them all! One I recently visited is called "3 Ptits Pois" and it has just the most friendly and chill vibe. The atmosphere is so welcoming, and it’s packed with fantastic products.
Another favorite of mine, is "Au Gramme Près" in Dijon, which I visited a few days ago. This store is my mom's favorite, and for good reason. The café attached to it has the most amazing treats, including lots of vegan baking! The store itself is brimming with goodies, and I honestly could have stayed there all day. The combination of delicious food and a vast array of delicious products makes it a must-visit.
Visiting these stores gives me a unique perspective on how different places approach sustainability. Each location has its own flair and special way of doing things, and it’s fascinating to see how the zero waste movement is growing. Sometimes, the smallest ideas can make the biggest impact, and I love bringing those innovative solutions back home.Being an entrepreneur means that the line between work and play often blurs, but in the best way possible. It’s about finding joy in what you do, no matter where you are. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. My holidays might be a bit unconventional, but they’re always full of inspiration, new friendships, and lots of eco-friendly goodies.
So next time you’re on holiday, keep an eye out for those little zero waste stores. You never know what you might find! And if you ever need recommendations, you know who to ask ;)
Until next time, stay inspired and keep living sustainably!
